Which doctor should I see for my twisted vein on the finger?

Which doctor should I see for my twisted vein on the finger?
I think my finger's vein has been dis-located and it hurts.

Your gerneral physician.Perhaps you have 'bruised' the vein...you dont say what happened.
A vein cannot be dislocated; it is lodged within tissues and has no other place to go!
It MAY rarely be possible, with a severe & complex injury,to suffer a "torque" (or twist) that is extremely painful but almost impossible to accomplish.
You may have jammed a knuckle, if that's where it hurts, or suffered a blunt-force trauma directly adjacent to a vein -- which also hurts like h*ll.
If you have a burning/aching sensation, it should resolve somewhat within a few hours and and be tender, achy, for a couple of days but heal on it's own.
Otherwise, if you think you have severely injured yourself go to your ER or your GP.
A plastic surgeon generally performs hand surgeries, although some surgeons specialize in hands and leave the facelifts & nose jobs to the aestheticians of the surgical world.
Hands require EXTREMELY delicate work when it comes to surgery due to the nerves involved, so if someone tells you that you need surgical intervention -- SHOP AROUND & GET REFERRALS!

Traditional Aran Techniques: Twists And Crosses, Cable Back or Backward

Article by Vein Reyes

Twists And Crosses

These techniques involve moving the position of one or more stitches to change their direction on a knitted fabric. They are sometimes called traveling stitches, as they do indeed travel across the background.

Crosses involve stitches are of the same type - for instance, two knit stitches - while twists involve stitches of different types - knit and purl stitches.

For twists of one or two knit stitches a cable needle can be used to hold the knit stitches front or back while the next stitch, usually one purl stitch, is worked. The traveling stitches can appear randomly to create a texture, vertically to create a mock cable, or as part of motif.

Twists and crosses will affect the gauge (tension) across the width of the fabric, so it is important to work a swatch and calculate the number of increases or extra stitches to be cast on. The technique for swapping two stitches is the same whether you are working a twist or a cross.

CABLE BACK OR BACKWARD

Cabling is moving groups of stitches across a knitted fabric. The same stitches can be moved repeatedly to create a rope-like pattern, or different stitches can be moved within a panel to create a more complex texture. Any yarn weight can be used, and cables can match the background fabric, be a contrasting color, or multicolored.

Cables are usually worked on a background of reverse st st to create the maximum contrast with the st st cable, but there are no rules.

Moving a group of stitches means that they will lose their elasticity and will draw the fabric up slightly. With a cable that swaps two groups of two stitches, an extra three stitches across the width of a project are often required. To be sure, work a plain swatch and a cabled swatch and measure the difference in width between them.

There are variations on the basic cable technique: the cable needle and stitches can be rotated by 180 degrees before the stitches are worked. Another variation is to have two sets of stitches on cable needles. One needle holds the center one or two stitches, and the other holds two groups of side stitches that will pass front or back of each other either side of the center stitches.

The decorative possibilities and the variations that are described under cable back can all be applied equally well to cable front. A rope made with cable front appears to turn clockwise on a knitted fabric.
