Does laying in the tanning bed cause tiny spider veins on legs and face?

Does laying in the tanning bed cause tiny spider veins on legs and face?
I am very fair skinned and I read in a couple different places on the internet that tanning can cause tiny/small spider veins. I wanted to know if it was true (if someone knows) and I imagine whatever bad thing tanning can cause prolly is more dangerous for really fair people.

It didn't bring spider veins out on me (I don't think anyway) but It's just different for some people I guess. But I burned like hell and I just came out covered in freckles! :( (How disappointed was I? I thought I'd come out looking like some kind of bronzed goddess haha!) But yeah, tanning is quite dangerous for fair people. When I went to the tanning bed, the woman working there told me I could only go on for a few minutes because I have red hair and fair skin. Sorry if I completely discouraged you from sun beds, but I stick to fake tan now - it's so much safer and it doesn't leave you with excruciating lobster skin for days after! Hope this helped :)Tanning is bad for your skin (especially fair-skinned people) but as far as I know it doesn't cause spider veins.

Doctors say that spider veins are caused by "heredity, obesity, pregnancy, age, trauma and standing or sitting for long periods of time". The problem is more about the actual veins than the skin on top of them.

If they bother you go to a doctor - there are tons of treatment options...

It involves causing the vein to undergo fibrosis so that it no longer functions in the same capacity. Any veins which are unsightly as a result of the larger "feeder" vein will also disappear. Of course, after each treatment a healing period must occur in which the treated areas will likely be red, bruised, swollen, or all of the above. Side effects of treatments are of course temporary and they subside over a few days or weeks. Repeat visits and/or treatments may be needed to clear out any remaining blood beneath the skin which the body's own immune system has not fully digested. Repeat injections may be required as well if there is more than one vein causing the issue. This treatment option is considered minimally invasive and can be performed on an outpatient basis.
